A vibrant learning community enriches school and learning experiences for everyone. While some AVLA students are self-sufficient and desire little support, others may seek more structure, guidance, encouragement and collaboration.

How can you make meaningful connections as AVLA family?

• Learning Center Classes – you can choose from one of our Learning Center s where students in grades K-6, 7-8, and 9-12 may attend classes in all the core subjects one to two days per week. Learning Centers are located in Hesperia, Palmdale, Lancaster, and Santa Clarita. Learning Center sites are in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties are in development.
  
   
• Field Trips - Field trips are organized by geographic region and are open to every student school wide. This year we are offering field trips to places like: Lombardi Ranch, the Griffith Park Observatory, the Honey Farm in Fillmore, the Lancaster Performing Arts Center, and many virtual field trips, to name just a few.
  
   
• Park Days – each Area Team organizes regular Park Days where families and teachers to come together as a community to share ideas and enjoy an afternoon together.
  
   
• Academic Events – We offer Back to School Night, Spelling Bees, Science Fairs, Holiday Feasts, Open House and more!
